IPAC (Portuguese Institute of Accreditation) has granted MSF Engenharia and its OTA, Venda Nova III and Foz-Tua laboratories with ISO/IEC 17025 Testing Laboratory accreditation for the carrying out of Compressive Strength Tests on Concrete Specimens.

After many years of officially referencing standards such as ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001, MSF has decided to widen its testing system capacities by including the requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025 standards within its range of testing laboratory responsibilities.

This decision, in compliance with legal and contractual requirements for compressive strength testing of concrete specimens, has led to full implementation of all the requirements set out within the ISO/IEC 17025 standard, with the IPAC accreditation process initiating in April 2012.

This accreditation process is a clear signal to the market of the level of quality required by MSF, demonstrating that continued improvements are constantly being implemented. Similarly, the process gives formal recognition to the technical skills of the teams involved, as well as ensuring confidence in results.
