CITÉ DE L’ÉMERGENCE INFRASTRUCTURE AND 5000 SOCIAL DWELLINGS IN BIKELE, GABON

In December 2011, MSF Engenharia signed a contract with the Gabonese State (Ministère de l’Habitat, de l’Urbanisme, de l’Ecologie et du Developpement durable of Gabon) , through its branch office in Gabon, for a total value of 255.7 million Euros, consisting of two separate agreements, with work currently in progress.

 

The “Bikele Cité de l’Émergence Instrastructure” work, valued at 114.2 million Euros has a contract leadtime of 48 months, including infrastructure development work over an area of 488 hectares, establishing the groundwork of an emerging city, encompassing: earth moving, road planning, public lighting facilities, rainwater drainage systems, distribution of clean water and removal of waste and basic infrastructure waters – utilising three clean water reservoir systems, a clean water and waste water treatment plant, six waste water pumping stations and a sewage processing plant.

  

The other contracted project involves the “Construction of 5000 social dwellings in Cité de l’Émergence, Bikele”, utilising a pre-fabricated structural SCHNELL type solution, a structure that utilises polystyrene for the purposes of increased acoustic and heat insulation. Assembly of the pre-fabricated panels is included as part of the contract, as well as full construction of the dwellings and all

other finishing work. The scheduled time period for completion of the project is 48 months and is valued at a total of 141.5 million Euros.
